Become Healthcare Accreditation Surveyor

The Central Board of Accreditation for Healthcare Institutions (CBAHI) is recruiting Healthcare professionals with expertise to share their knowledge and healthcare experience in the review of organizational practices to:

Who are we?

  • We are the Central Board of Accreditation for Healthcare Institution (CBAHI)
  • We are the Saudi national accreditation program, non-profit organization that provides expertise and guidance to healthcare institutions across Saudi Arabia for improving the quality of services and patient safety.

Who is the Surveyor?

  • A peer reviewer who assesses the performance of health care organizations against national hospital standards of excellence.
  • A dedicated professional who devotes time and expertise to the accreditation process.

CBAHI is recruiting health care professionals with expertise in Leadership and Quality Management, Medical, Nursing, as well as specialized fields such as, Pharmacy, Infection Control, Laboratory and Facility Management and Safety, with good command of English language both spoken and written and good computer and communication skills.

Becoming a CBAHI Surveyor

Qualification:
  • Hold at least Bachelor degree in the specialty required (Higher qualification preferred)
  • Experience minimum (3-5) years in a senior position.
  • Experience in preparing and achieving a hospital service for accreditation is preferred.
  • Knowledgeable about the Saudi Arabian health system.
  • Currently resident in Saudi Arabia with no plans to leave within 5 years.

What is the surveyor's role?
As a surveyor, you will be called upon to
  • assess an organization's performance against Saudi National Standards
  • conduct on-site surveys
  • deliver education sessions (optional)
  • attend orientation and training sessions
What is the time commitment?
  • Surveyors accepted after interview and exam must attend an initial orientation program and continue upgrading their knowledge through the continuous education programs.
  • Surveyors must also participate in surveys for a minimum of 20 days thought out the year depending on the survey schedule. Some preparation time is required prior to surveys, as well as travel time outside their regions depending on the survey location.
Selection Process and Internship
Step 1: Application
Prospective surveyors are requested to provide a copy of their most recent Curriculum Vitae to CBAHI in which contact information for at least a reference from a colleague in their organization and a colleague from outside their organization are.
 
Step 2: Interview
Candidates will be called for an interview by CBAHI management.
 
Step 3: Assessment during Orientation
Successful candidates are invited to participate in an orientation program. The program is designed to introduce the potential surveyors to CBAHI accreditation process and skills and  is used to further assess and give feedback on their competencies.
 
Step 4: Internship Phase
Candidates who have successfully completed all elements of the selection process proceed to an internship phase of two surveys. Interns will participate in these internship surveys as full survey team members. They will be assigned specific responsibilities and will receive ongoing support and advice from their peer surveyors.
 At the conclusion of the internship period, based on the evaluation and feedback from the internship surveys, CBAHI will make a decision about appointment as a full surveyor.

  • Accepted applicants - they will be invited for an interview in CBAHI Head Office Riyadh - Al Murooj district
  • For those who will pass the interview will be called for a 4 days theoretical and practical training program which will be conducted on health services accreditation
